Priti Vadakkath

was born 1971, in Fort Kochi, Kerala, completed her Bachelors in History of Fine Arts from Stella Maris College, Chennai in 1992. She did her Diploma in Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi in 1995. She lives and works in Bangalore Priti Vadakkath’s use of watercolour juxtaposes tautness and lucidity, where images meld with one another, and the background. Within a palette of earth shades and blue-grays, there are often oases of intense colour that subvert the viewer’s eye.
