Reghu

born in Kerala, 1959, has a BFA in Sculpture from the College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum, Kerala. Between 1997 and 2007 he has held a number of solo shows throughout the country, some of which are Sakshi Art Gallery & Cinnamon, Bengaluru (2000); Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore (2004) and Seagull Art Foundation, Kolkata (2006). He has also participated in Group Shows such as To Encounter Others,Softwechsel, Kassel, Germany (1992); Contemporary Indian Art Biennale, Bhopal (1995) and the International Biennale Exhibition, Cairo, Egypt (2000). Reghu has been the recipient of Fourth Bharat Bhavan Biennale of Indian Contemporary Art Award (1992) and the Bombay Art Society Award for 1998. He received the Scholarship Award from Roopankar, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal (1987 & 1988), as well as the award from the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, Senior Fellowship. G Reghu lives and works in Bengaluru.
